See Something, Say Something

See Something, Say Something

I have a new piece up at Bold about last week’s tragic shooting.

It really is difficult to think or speak about it without the gravity of the tragedy affecting you.

17 people dead….Killed by someone the children joked around could shoot other kids…..the FBI were called and did nothing.

Nothing shouldn’t have been acceptable then and it shouldn’t be acceptable now. We all have to do something – everything we can to prevent something like this ever happening again.

Putting the issue of guns and the 2nd Amendment to the site – if you see someone acting in a strange or suspicious manner, report it.

If you see bullying and nothing is happening about it, report it.

We can’t change the past, all we can do is try to change the future.

Kindness Works: Autism and Scarlet

Thrilled that Bleeding Cool has written up a story about my story featuring Scarlet, the autistic character.

The response I’ve received from fans has been unbelievable!

I’ve had emails from all over the world and this really shows how relevant autism is for so many people.

If you are interested in the story, please be in touch.

Thrive Global

It is a real thrill to be contributing pieces to Thrive Global.

This is a website I feel very closely to and my first piece there was about the fact that kindness works.

I hope this is the first of many pieces there!

Walking for Kindness

Nancy Silberkleit

Whatever we want, whatever we need is in such abundance except for one of the most important things – kindness.

Today more than ever, kindness is something we need. It seems like such a simple thing to say but yet we are surrounded by hatred, bullying and animosity.

Our children don’t feel safe at school and bullying is worst than ever.

We need to take a stand against this. Because of this, it’s my mission to stop bulling and spread goodwill.

The Kindness Works 3K is happening this Sunday and you can find our all the details of it here.

Contributing to NJ.com

I had the honor of contributing an article about bullying to NJ.com and in hard copy, the Newark Star Ledger.

To write about such an important subject for such a major newspaper is a real thrill.

I have to thank all at the newspaper, especially Enrique Lavin.

What a night

Had such a great night on behalf of the UNCF!

So proud to be connected with an organization that is working hard to make a difference, especially in today’s day and age.

It was a privilege and honor to be a part of it.

2nd Comic Extravaganza

After a lot of planning, we had the second Comic Extravaganza last week.

It was such a wonderful event of devoted comic book fans coming together for their shared love of popular culture.

The community involvement and their collaboration to advocate my desire to introduce comic books to instill of love for reading was a privilege to host in such a beautiful environment.

I am seeking an indoor venue for Comic Extravaganza 2018 and will announce when I know.
